Abstract: The talk will be an introduction to multiplier ideals in algebraic geometry. We will discuss algebraic and analytic definitions of multiplier ideals and compute some simple examples. The talk will be based on material from Lazarfeld's book "Positivity in Algebraic Geometry" Volume II, and notes of Demailly.
