Errata for
Linear Algebra with Applications

The following 19 errata will be corrected in the third printing.
Currently the book is in its second printing.

1) inside cover, Cover design: Graign Hanson, George Nakos
2) p.6 six lines above example 8: need a boldfaced "echelon", not italics.
3) p.30 End of exercise 51 insert ", if A has more rows than columns."
4) p.93 tenth line from the bottom: add the following to "Therefore"
"if A=[a_1,...,a_n] we have" (the a's here are boldfaced).
Then two lines later replace "Span{v_1,...,v_n}" with
           "Span{a_1,...,a_n}".
5) p.120 Exercise 14 needs a bold faced zero.
6) p.126 Last line should be (1,2,3,4)+t(1,1,1,1)
7) p.173 First equation: insert "A" after the first "C"
8) p.195 In the Maple part of CAS replace L='1' with L='l'
9) p.202 After the end of the first definition add the clarification:
"L(G) is defined only if G has no loops or multiple edges."
10) p.245 Third line from the bottom: replace "M_32" with "M_23".
11) p.246 First line: replace "M_32" with "M_23".
12) p.477 In the solution of Example 26 insert "the shifted" between
           "apply" and "inverse".
13) p.615 Last line: change the last two "i"s to "-1"s.
14) p.631 Section 2.6, Exercise 5, the second norm should be squared.
15) p.634 Section 3.3, Exercise 9, the matrix [3 0; 0 3] should be
           replaced with the product of the matrices [3 0; 0 1][1 0; 0 3].
16) p.636 Section 4.1, Exercise 9, replace the second "v_1" with "v_2".
